c 1880's quarter oak victorian mantel

size:

	- inner measurement - 41.5" wide x 48" high
	- outer measurement - 63" wide x 80" high

materials:

	this is a solid quartered white oak mantel which has retained its original varnish finish and over painted in a deep mocha black color
	extremely tall, with irregular opening w/ high mantle shelf backed by recessed panels. the columns, capitals and frieze panel are adorned with decorative composition applications.

story behind it: we removed this from a eastern usa based greystone built in the 1880's.

this mantle was originally located on the first floor in the main parlor room.
