1890's solid oak victorian room divider

size:

	- the columns with capitals measure 55 1/2 by 6 inches (diameter)
	- each base with column bases measure 29 1/2 x 11 x 29 inches
	- the top crown or corbels measure 34 x 6 x 8 inches.

story behind it: victorian era residential interior room divider made of solid white oak millwork. each and every component retains original stained finish. the colonnade bases each contain a large single recessed panel. the round oak columns are partially fluted. the capitals and crown or headers are adorned with intricate, highly ornate gesso ornament. the design motifs include, but not limited to swag, ionic capitals, scollwork, detailed acanthus leaves, egg & dart, etc. amazingly, the gesso ornament is largely intact with no major design elements missing or damaged. removed from a chicago greystone residence built in the late 1890's.
